DATV-Express running on a Raspberry PI

PI Desktop

DVB-S signal being received
Just for fun. I installed the DATV-Express GUI on my Raspberry PI. The code ran
completely unchanged but as it is doing all the FEC on the PI the maximum Symbol
rate was restricted to 1 MSym/sec FEC 7/8. However I am in the process of moving
the FEC coding into the FPGA, the FEC accounts for about 60% of the CPU usage.
Hopefully it will be possible to use the PI to transmit the usual symbol rates used in
Amateur TV. The video capture device is a Hauppauge HVR-1900.

The final PCB design for DATV-Express has been signed off so we should have some
production quality boards available before the end of the month. We are having these
machine assembled so I expect there will be fresh issues but that is the plan.
